The Rideau Osgoode Karate Club held its 6th annual Polar Bear Dip in Ottawa on January 1st, 2002. Relatively mild temperatures this year left only four inches of ice to cut. Twenty-five hearty souls braved the elements to jump into the frigid winter waters of Mooney's Bay. The annual event raises money for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
